Your customers' PDFs,
checked and fixed before you open them.

When a customer submits files, Pressria Bridge downloads and inspects them right away. Anything that can be fixed gets a separate fixed copy, and the original stays as it is.

Files arrive from everywhere,
and problems show up right before print.

What print shops for books, binding and flat sheets deal with every day.

01

Files from everywhere

Email attachments, chat messages, transfer links that expire. You dig through all of them to find a single file.

02

Missing fonts

When preflight flags a missing font, you have to ask the customer again. Work stops until the file comes back.

03

PDFs made on a Mac

Files built with Apple fonts land on a Windows production PC that doesn't have those fonts. If they aren't embedded, the job stops there.

04

Empty files

An upload drops and a file arrives with nothing in it. Like a 1 KB PDF from an iPhone, you can't tell until you open it.

05

Errors on open

Acrobat shows a repair prompt or reports an invalid node in the page tree. It's hard to tell right away what's wrong.

One link to receive,
and PB looks at every PDF first.

  1. 01

    Send a link and a 5-digit PIN

Issue an intake link and PIN for each customer.

  2. 02

    Your customer uploads

AI, PSD, PDF, TIFF and 13 more formats, up to 5 GB per file. They can leave a note for your team.

  3. 03

    PB receives and files them

As soon as files are submitted, PB downloads them into folders by customer and date.

  4. 04

    PDFs are checked and fixed

PB checks for damage, fonts, structure and spot colors, and makes a fixed copy of anything it can fix.

  5. 05

    Review and start work

Check the results in your intake history, then work from the file marked [final].

What PB looks for,
and what it fixes

Every incoming PDF goes through the checks below. Damaged files are not fixed — PB flags them as Critical.

When a file needs more than one fix, a single copy with all of them applied is marked [final].

We verified the inspection and repair results on 26 customer files that had actually caused print errors at a print shop specializing in textbooks and booklets.

Originals stay as they are,
and everything is on record.

Originals are never touched

PB only reads the files it receives. Fixed copies are saved as separate files in the same folder.

A report in the folder

When an intake folder has a Critical or Warning result, PB writes a text report there that lists every check and fix for that folder.

Results right in the list

In your intake history, the Result column shows which submissions need attention and the Fixed column shows how many fixed copies were made. Click View result for per-file details.

What PB can't do,
stated up front.

Your print shop's
own intake desk.

Your brand, not ours

Upload your logo and the intake page becomes your shop's. Your customers never see the name Pressria.

One-time or period PINs

Choose a PIN that works once, or one that keeps working until a date you set.

Separator sheetsOptional

PB can create one separator sheet per received PDF as a separate file, with the customer name on it.

Checks run on your PC,
only a summary reaches our server.

  • Inspection and repair run in PB on your print shop's PC.
  • Our server stores only an inspection summary (issue types, font names, processing time and so on). Files, file names and document contents are never sent.
  • Inspection summaries are kept for as long as your license is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
  • Files your customers upload are stored temporarily on our server so PB can receive them. Files PB has downloaded are deleted from the server automatically.

Got Questions?

Does PB change the original file?
No. PB only reads the files it receives. Fixed copies are saved as separate files in the same folder.
Which fonts are used as substitutes?
If the same font is installed on the PC, PB embeds it. If not, it substitutes a free font: Noto Sans KR for Korean and other CJK fonts, Liberation for Latin fonts. Substitutions are recorded in the report, so check whether the shapes differ from the original. Each check and fix can be turned off in settings.
What happens to files PB can't fix?
Damaged files whose data is missing are not fixed; PB flags them as Critical. If specific pages are damaged, their numbers are shown too, so you can ask the customer to resend.
Do files stay on your server?
Files your customers upload are stored temporarily on our server so PB can receive them. Files PB has downloaded are deleted from the server automatically. Inspection and repair run on your PC, and our server stores only an inspection summary. Files, file names and document contents are never sent.
What if my PC is turned off?
Your customers can still upload. The files wait on the server, and when you start PB it picks up every intake it missed and checks it.
How does this relate to nesting?
You can use intake without nesting. Received files are saved to your intake folder, and die-cut products can then be sent on to nesting.

From your next customer file on,
check it before you open it.
